SAFETY AT KRUSSELL STABLES
At Krussell Stables, safety is our first and foremost goal. We teach a traditional and ultra-safe type of English riding called Saddleseat for all ages and ability levels 6 days per week. This discipline is the basis for all riding styles. Because of the dangers of associated with jumping over fences, we DO NOT TEACH JUMPING at Krussell Stables. Whether you are a first-time rider or a long-time horse enthusiast, a youngster or adult, a serious competitor or a casual horse lover, Krussell Stables has a riding experience for you. Krussell Stables offer specialized instruction tailored to your individual needs and goals.
KRUSSELL STABLES LESSON HORSES
We have lesson horses that can help the most timid beginners to those that can challenge accomplished equestrians. Private and semi-private lessons are offered Monday through Saturday, with convenient after-school and evening hours. All lessons are taught on Krussell Stables farm owned school horses and we pride ourselves in offering world class lessons at prices that every rider can afford! Every week can be an adventure on a new mount or you can stick with an old favorite; but no matter what you choose, all of our horses are reliable, experienced, and lots of fun.
Krussell Stables creates a fun and structured environment for students that promotes learning and responsibility and ensures a positive introduction to the wonderful world of horses! Each lesson is approximately 30 minutes in length. Horses are prepared for the rider and taken care of after the lesson. If a student wants to improve their knowledge and skills around the horse in the stall they are welcome to arrive early or stay after the lesson to learn to groom, tack and untack their horse but this is not required.
GETTING STARTED
All of our beginner riders start out riding in private lessons which are 30 minutes long. As our riders learn and advance they can move into a semi-private lesson with 3-5 other riders.
PRIVATE LESSONS
Krussell Stables offers the finest one-on-one personalized riding instruction available. Whether you are a first time rider or an accomplished equestrian, we have the instructors and horses to further your saddleseat riding skills. Private lessons run for 1/2 hour and are available by appointment only. Private lessons are available in packages and can be scheduled Monday through Saturday. We recommend that you schedule one week in advance to get your desired day and time.
SEMI-PRIVATE LESSONS
Our semi-private lessons are the most cost effective way for riders of all levels of experience to improve their skills. Semi-private lessons help a rider develop skills necessary for controlling a horse while in the ring with other riders. Semi-private lessons run for 30 minutes and are restricted to riders under 8 years of age and riders that are still on a lead line. Semi-private lessons are available in packages and are coordinated and scheduled with a riding instructor. We recommend that you schedule at least one week in advance to get your desired day and time.
SPORTS PACKAGE
For many individuals horseback riding is their athletic sport of choice. The Sports Package was designed to improve and accelerate the development of horsemanship and riding skills by increasing saddle time and riding 3 days per week (2 Private Lessons and 1 Semi-Private Lesson). This package is designed for serious equestrian athletes, who have made personal commitments to horseback riding, with their sights set on competition.
ADULT RIDING LESSONS
We do have many adults who ride at Krussell Stables. Maybe you grew up riding and you're ready to get back in the saddle or perhaps you have always dreamed of taking horseback riding lessons. Our instructors are here to give you a safe and fun experience. We will choose a horse that fits your riding level so you can gain confidence and have an enjoyable time.
TINY TOT LESSONS
Our unique Tiny Tot program is for children ages 4 - 6 years of age. Lessons are set up on a week to week basis allowing for flexibility with our young riders. The length of the lesson is dependent on the child’s attention span and interest level but will last no longer than 30 minutes. Children will learn how to start and stop a horse, steering, voice commands as well as exercises to develop balance and strength.
ACADEMY HORSE SHOWS
Krussell Stables offers our riders the opportunity to compete in local horse shows on Krussell Stables owned lesson horses. The Academy Program is designed for riders of all levels that want to take their horsemanship to the next level and compete against other equestrian athletes in the showring. Academy competitions accommodate riders of all ages and skill levels. Competitions build confidence, teach riders goal setting, teamwork, perseverance, good sportsmanship and teaches students that hard work pays off!

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Safety is our first priority! Proper attire is required. Riders must wear full-length pants and tennis shoes or boots. NO RIDER WILL BE ALLOWED TO RIDE IN SHORTS, CAPRI PANTS, OR SANDALS! Helmets are provided.

OUR GOALS
Krussell Stables first goal is to provide a safe environment for all our riders and horses. Our second goal is to give each rider a fun and enjoyable horse experience and our third goal is to help each rider achieve their individual riding goals. Come ride with us. The horses are waiting!
LESSON PROGRAM CANCELLATION POLICY
24 Hours notice for cancellations is required. Failure to do so will require payment of untaken lesson prior to any additional riding lessons or forfeiture of a lesson in a riding package. This policy is strictly enforced since last minute cancellations do not allow for rescheduling the use of a lesson horse.
PAYMENT
Krussell Stables accepts cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard and Discover. There is a $25 charge for returned check fees.
